WINGS WON'T TAKE MEHEIGHTS DON'T PHASE ME LOTTI-RAHZIEL WOKE to something unexpected. The sound of wind against leaves, the smell of wood, dirt and rain. Her eyes fluttered open, looking up to the cloudy sky. This wasn't the area that she remembered falling asleep to. She remembered falling asleep next to someone else's house, not having one herself anymore, on the clearest day possible when the sun hit her in just the right way to make her ultra sleepy. And then she had fallen asleep, but where was she now?
She yawned, smacking her mouth as she stretched. hearing her back pop among the wind. Placing her hands on the cold morning grass, she tried to take in the site, but she was behind a few large, heart shaped bushes. She didn't smirk, but she thought to herself a funny thought: Why are these hearts green? Is someone here jealous, so they keep the hearts green?
She wasn't the craziest here in Wonderland, no that wasn't her. She couldn't be crazy. Confusing, yes. Madly crazy, no. Besides, weren't there enough crazy people here without her help? Anyhow, if she was crazy, there would be at least a hundred less citizens here in Wonderland for the Red Queen to lop their heads off.
Lotti managed get up off her butt and take a stand. She wouldn't find out where she was if she didn't try to look. Her eyes widened, the irises turning from her warm brown to a cold gray with suprise. What she saw was the Red Queen's castle.
Falling back to the cold ground, her eyes turned back to warm brown as she found herself sleepy once more. She wondered why she was so sleepy all the time, but it's not like it bothered her. She loved to sleep; to escape the world into her own Wonderland where no one could have "fun" or be overly happy about anything.
And despite her love of sleeping, she doubted she wanted to sleep here, in the Red Queen's croquette field (she only knew that from rumors she heard while half asleep, or half awake). What if she was found? Would she be taken off to be beheaded? The thought sounded scary, but after a second or two she realized it might not be that bad, really. An etrernal sleep where no one would ever have "fun" again.
She decided that it wasn't worth worrying about. Because if it was, her eyes would have turned some other color: worry. She hadn't really experienced that feeling well enough for it to really turn her brown eyes a different color.
So she layed back down on the cold ground, her arm as a pillow and let herself fall asleep with one thought: How the hell did I get here?

Tick... Tick... Tick, 1:15. Tick.. Tick... Tick, 1:30.
Niven's quickly replaced the pocket watch in it's safe compartment of his tabard. It was such a stuffy suit, he truly hated it, the collar often choked him or made him so hot that it was almost truly unbearable. But, this is what he was made to wear so he would deal with it. Another quick movement and he was gathering up hedgehogs into a small basket. "Come now, hurry, we don't want to be late or else it's all of our heads!" he exclaimed, Dodo bird of course chiming in. "If you would have brought us the Real Alice we wouldn't be worrying.." " How am I to know who the Real Alice is anyways!? I don't see you up there risking yourself being eaten or worse, so hush up and gather those flamingos already!" he was very impatient with the Dodo bird now, who just sighed and rolled his eyes mumbling something about him having to go if Hatter asked it of him and he wouldn't make a fuss over it.
They reached the Croquet field, Dodo Off placing the flamingos in their respectable places. " Over there, hurry set up, we don't have all day." He pointed for some cards to stack themselves just right for the balls. Tick...Tick..Tick 1:45...The pocket watch disappeared again.
The basket was placed to the side and he moved hurriedly along the grass before suddenly stumbling onto something he had not expected. A girl, a strange girl he had never seen before laying on the field, over there where he was now, just seeming to try and sleep. This was no place for her, this was no place for sleep and there was definitely no time to deal with her either, the match would be beginning in just another hour or so. "Hey you girl." he spoke up suddenly. " You shouldn't be here, I advise you leave at once!"

WINGS WON'T TAKE MEHEIGHTS DON'T PHASE ME LOTTI-RAHZIEL DIDN'T sleep very well for the few moments she had under the cloudy sky and the unconfortable ground, which should have been expected. Who would possibly find that confortable? It was truely impossible for anyone to enjoy their time sleeping in this sort of weather.
And besides how unconfortable it was, her dream was none the less better. You know when you just have nothing too dream about and so you stare into darkness. Well, that's what she got. She hated it when that happened since one of her favorite things about sleeping was having her own little world for herself. Now her world was dark...Her little dreams having ran away from the field.
Then she heard something, a mumbling of sorts then a feeling on her back. It felt as if she'd been kicked and then something heavy tossed on her, which she later figured someone tripping and falling on her. It felt bad sometimes, not to be noticed, but, in some ways, she liked it, being able to roam without any people talking to her or asking her stupid questions.
Then she heard the same mumbling voice, but louder and adressed to her. Ugh, she hated being talked to. That meant people and she hated people. People talked too much, they said and did stupid things and demanded the unnessiary (sp?). The voice sounded angry. Was it the queen ordering her head chopped off? Or a guard ready to take her to the queen.
It was neither.
As she opened her eyes she noticed it was neither a guard or royal; it was the imfamous white rabbit. She had also heard rumors of this furry creature, how it had met the Real Alice and all that crap. She rolled her eyes and sat up. Looking down at the rabbit, she took in his impatient expression. He wanted her out of here. Well too freaking bad. She didn't want to leave yet. She was too lazy.
Taking in a breath of the cool, wet-tasting air, she spoke. "What if I do not want to leave?" she said, her voice devoid of any emotion besides that slight hint of "i-dont-care-what-you-say-or-do", sounding quiet frightful.

He waited, tapping his foot gently for her to respond, but she was completely slow at it. He looked at his pocket watch once more before noticing a small stain along his fur from the grass he landed on when he tripped. Rubbing it quickly, he tried to remove it from his coat. " This is terrible, very terrible."
When the girl finally moved he looked at her. Watching as she every slow gesture, it was trying on what little patience he had right now. His hands fleeted to his sides and he indeed looked as if he wanted her to hurry up and leave.
Her response however, was not what he expected and with widened pink eyes he stared at her slightly stunned. His ears folded against his head in a nervous gesture. Her tone was slightly commanding and reminded him of why he was here. It reminded him of the Red Queen, and all her terrible deeds. "Well..Oh...I.."His hands began to fiddle with themselves while glancing back towards the croquet field which was being set up.
After a moment, he mustered up enough nerves to look her straight in the eyes, his ears perked again, his form no longer shaking or cautious. "I suggest you leave, otherwise risk having your own head removed by the Queen. She is due to arrive any moment for her usual game, and she doesn't like surprises nor uninvited guests. So move along."

WINGS WON'T TAKE MEHEIGHTS DON'T PHASE ME LOTTI-RAHZIEL FOUND it highly amusing that the rabbit became nervous at her words. She watched it as it's ears fell and its fingers (should she call them fingers?) twiddled and gave her that shy, unsure look. Personally, she couldn't think of any being that wouldn't find a rabbit like he to be funny.
Then a thought hit her: no wonder this creature worked for the red queen. It obiously (sp?) couldn't stand up for itself very well when ordered to do something or was talked to by a higher social being.
She inwardly smiled, her eyes turning a soft blue for amused. She was no higher standing being. A commoner, at the very least if not an exil for her brothers unknown murder. Actually, in some sense, it had a higher standing than she did, even if it...doing what ever it did. But working for the Red Queen did give the rabbit more grounding on the social pyrimid than she would ever gain.
Her eyes faded back to brown as she yawned, her right hand instintivly covering her mouth. She then looked at the rabbit with drowsy eyes, pondering on the witty remark she was going to say next.
"Hm, good point. Never suprise the queen. Because we don't want our heads chopped off, or something of that sort." She stood up, arching her back as it felt stiff from laying on the unconfrotable ground. "Well, you know what? I'd like to meet "our" queen." As she had spoken, her voice gained a tiny bit of rage, her eyes tinted with red. Who was this Red Queen to say Lotti couldn't sleep on a feild because she'd be "suprised".
Besides, this might be the highlight of her life: meeting the Queen. Anyhow, meeting the queen might also be the end of her life.
She looked out towards the field, seeing the "pieces" gather together, or setting up. She remained emotionless as she walked towards one of the flamingoes and kicking it a kick with her left foot so it would be straight. Waving the flamingo around as she searched for a headgehog, but couldn't find one.
"White Rabbit," she said. "Not to be rude or anything, but your Queen can not play croquet without a headgehog."

She didn't seem at all too concerned about this warning he was giving her, or the way he was asking her to leave. It was rather absurd to him for her to still be here, any civil being would have stood up and left with an apology for wasting such precious time, however no she just lounged about like some lazy person, not caring about the time of others, nor caring about time in general. Oh how he hated the unpunctual, or those who made him terribly almost late. He narrowed his eyes just slightly at her.
Who did she think she was really?! At first he thought she might have been someone from Court, but no she was not. She was just some commoner, some no body, not nearly an Alice and not nearly anyone else that he could recollect so he began to tap his foot rather impatiently. Well, WELL! Well where is your response, your quick movement, he thought to himself. Surely she would have not wanted her head cut off but at this point he was wondering if in fact it was the opposite, perhaps she fancied having it swimming about in the moat below. He knew he didn't, so another tap of the foot impatiently and a check of the pocket watch once more. Darn thing was never completely reliable ever since that mad March Hare put jam beneath its spoil, what a mess that was to clean out.
" Of that sort? You are mad aren't you, completely down right mad to think it just some sort. Maybe you don't have some use for your head being still attached but I sure do and I will not allow a little girl to be the reason I loose mine. So let us have a move on it!" Just then at the mentioning of meeting the Red Queen, he seemed to grow nervous again, was this her saying she wasn't about to move? "I can assure you you do not want to meet her. In fact, meeting her would make you terribly mad and not a sort to be around here. It would make you exceedingly dangerous, however the Queen will be here in due time, in very short time in fact and will not want some little girl spoiling her croquet match now Please, leave at once."
She didn't leave, no instead she sauntered lazily over to a flamingo and with a quick kick it stood straight for her as it would for the Queen. He winced at the sight, such a terrible way to treat another living being in his eyes, one so undeserving as that poor flamingo. Ears slowly turned down against his head again and he hopped towards her, following her steps. The Dodo of course chiming in himself as he readied the carrier around his chest. "Oh you've done it now." He sounded more like someone slightly amused than someone who was giving a true warning.
Nivens however was becoming quite irritated with this one. " We have a good share of Hedgehogs, the best in fact thank you and I myself personally delivered them here in that basket over there. " A gesture to the small wicker basket to the side of the field that sometimes squeaked and jiggled. " So please, put that bird back where he belongs and mind yourself some where else." He was speaking so stern now, so frankly and serious.

WINGS WON'T TAKE MEHEIGHTS DON'T PHASE ME LOTTI-RAHZIEL FELT pure amusement in the first time in months. Oh this was just too good, making fun of the white rabbit. When was the last time she had fun outside her dreams? Oh, well, that must have been forever ago since she couldn't remember it. Maybe it was when she killed her brother...? Nah.
She could feel her eyes turn orange as she watched the rabbit ramble. Blah, blah blah. She knew she was a bit off, but she was quiet sure she wasn't mad. Just...what's the word? Curious? Bored? Unentertained? Oh well, whatever.
Then he told her where the hedgehogs were, and she almost felt like laughing, and that didn't happen often...or, at all. If he didn't want her here, he shouldn't point out what she wanted.
She walked over, grabbing a hedgehog, she plopped it on the ground and used the flamingo to swing at the hedgehog, but the pink bird curled up at the last second. Her eyes turned from orange to red in a matter of seconds. Stupid bird. She tossedthe pink bird aside and sat down in frustration, like a child.
She glared at the bird and hedgehog as they walked off. "stupid game..." she hissed.

Why was she smiling!? This was so completely absurd, it was like talking to a wild animal from the Aboveland. The very thought made him shudder and not want to repeat such a situation again. Of course, he knew he would because he was under the impression that Alice was not the Real Alice and thus he would be sent once more to try and find her, up there, where the air was cold and they just did their business out in public. No clothes on either! Dreadful beasts, well most of them anyways.
At the realization of what he had let slip, his little paw enclosed over his mouth. Why did he just blurt that out! Now look, she was walking towards that basket. The Dodo bird was far to amused for Nivens liking and he followed her quickly. " Stop that! now..Now put him back! That is an Order!" he spat, his ears against his head in a nervous manner. " Please, I asked you to stop what you are doing!" but before long and without hesitation she swung at the poor little hedgehog and it made him wince a bit. But the bird was clever and curled up not allowing anything to hit.
Seeing them walk away, his eyes wide and a very frustrated look on his poor little face as whiskers began to twitch. " Now look at what you've done! You didn't listen and you've put us behind, we will have to go gather those up. I hope you don't think I am taking in blame in this if the Queen happens upon us." the Dodo bird was already moving to gather them back up as Niven's turned his attention back to the girl.
She was sulking....like a child. Underland had enough children, and now he had one more to worry about. Stepping closer he nodded at her words. " Yes you are right it is a stupid game. I wonder how you or anyone would enjoy being kicked into a straight stance then swung at a defenseless creature. It's degrading you know and absurdly barbaric if you ask me. Definitely not right at all to treat something else like that." his voice was softer then, less commanding and more calm. He didn't want to see her cry, please oh please don't cry or worse get angry. "I wouldn't you know, tell the Queen this was all your fault. We will have them back in no time."

WINGS WON'T TAKE MEHEIGHTS DON'T PHASE ME LOTTI-RAHZIEL LOOKED at the White Rabbit as it talked, her eyes returning to its bored expression. They turned from red slowly into her void brown eyes as her anger slowly dispersed. Emotions never lasted long with her for some reason. Maybe it was just how she liked things or something of that kind of sort.
Then she tried to block the rabbits ramblings from her head, but that didn't seem to work since she could still heard him ramble on about something. Something about "defenceless" little animals and that it was barbaric to use them as tools for a game. Lotti understood to a certain extent, but you had to use what was given to you. And in this case: animals.
Then he said that he wasn't going to rat her out and she gave a nod and grunt to tell him that she was listening, which she was doing to a certain extent. But she didn't really care if she was caught or not. Heck, she didn't care about most things.
"I know," she said, her now drained from any emotion that she had before, which wasn't that much to start with in the first place. She yawned, standing back up. If she were going to catch those...animals, she were going to have to do it awake and she knew she was going to fall back asleep soon.
Then she began to lazily walk for the animals, not really feeling motivated to actually chase the animals in a full chase.

As he spoke he watched her expression carefully, and every gesture she very well made. Yes, she was showing signs of not actually listening to him, but rather just pretending to. It didn't matter to him however, was is needed to be said is said and if she doesn't listen like most other humanoid Underlanders, than that was not really his fault.
Finally he got some response that made him think she might have heard everything all along. It was when he spoke of not ratting her out that she did, save her own skin of course. Most would indeed, rat her out, they wouldn't think twice. However, Niven's would not have anothers blood on his hands. He didn't want anyone to be capture by the queen and then perhaps beheaded, no he just wanted others to follow the rules or listen when he gives warnings. These times were so precious and dangerous that any false move could have Underland in complete ruins. "Very good." his soft voice spoke before he watched her get up.
Was she going to run a muck again! Not listening to him, this would indeed affect her patience. But she was walking off towards the animals, rather than somewhere else, was she really trying to gather them up? Oh he knew better, they would take much persuasion to get those two back here. " If you are going to attempt to catch them you will have to start by treating them as your equal. How you would wish to be treated, otherwise I am afraid you will be horribly out of luck. Especially given the circumstances."

Saydeneech, as always, was on high alert. He was slightly less comfortable out in the open, a place not friendly towards his own kind, but necessary to cross if one had the right reasons. his sword hung at his belt, hand crafted and tied with sap and thread, the perfect weapon and the envy of any General to wield during battle. But this hike wasn't any battle, it was even combat training. He supposed he felt like a stroll, to unwind, with the excuse of paroling the Queen's grounds like the watch dog he was, really. Anything suspicious and he would instantly alert the Queen. Card guards would line the castle and the hubbub would erupt in chaos. Hah! If there was any problems, Saydeneech would deal with the matter himself, not bother the Queen on her throne when she could be sipping lollies and sampling tarts. His swords often did the talking for him, and was eager to try it out on almost anything. He walked forward on four legs, sniffing the air as he watched a butterfly land on a nearby hedge, its wings orange and purple before it flew away to friendlier gazes. Continuing onwards, he heard a rustle in the grass followed by two scents, distinctly Underlander. Next came the voices, and the sounds of tiny thuds echoing through the grass. The first he recognized to be the White Rabbit, and the other...the other. His fur bristled, tail fluffing twice its size when he could not fathom the second smell and quickened his pace forward, pushing himself upon two strong legs and pulling his sword from his belt."Who goes there?" His face was scrunched up in a hostile glare, beady eyes burning with the passion that consumed his life and controlled his lifestyle. The blade spoke for him, humming out as he slashed it in the woman's direction."Identify yourself!"

WINGS WON'T TAKE MEHEIGHTS DON'T PHASE ME LOTTI-RAHZIEL ROLLED her eyes when the rabbit began to lecture her. Blah, blah, blah. Hasn't he already thought to himself yet that everyone says that. She heard it plenty of times from her parents and brother before they were killed/murdered. And she heard other lectures, but it was obvious that she hadn't had enough due to her behavior and outlook on things.
She chased after the animals in her slow walk, still not feeling motivated. But, to her luck, the hedgehog took some sort of pity on her and came to her where she put it back in the basket with the others. Now...where was that flamingo? She began to search for it
Then she heard some...small voice from behind. Turning around slowly, slightly expecting to see some spolied kid pretending to be a gaurd, pointing a wooden sword at her. Instead, she got a squirl pointing a real sword at her. She sighed. Some day this was.
"Hey, there," she said in her emotionless tone as she stared at him with her void eyes. "I'm Nora De Luca," her tone remaining the said, her eyes never darting as she lied. She really didn't want to give out her real name. Just for safty purposes.
She looked at his sword. "Nice sword you have there," she said, struggling to resist another yawn. "Sir," she added with a small amount of thought. But, to tell the truth, she did have a bit of a thing for....weapons. Good to kill with. And his sword looked quiet find. It looked strong, fierce and sharp. She gave the squirl guard a nod of her head, as if approving his sword, which might or might not be the best thing to do, but its not like she cared. She was screwed anywyas.

He was very surprised to see her actually trying to round them up, and of course Niven's knew his place and in it he knew to help her get these creatures back. They couldn't have them wandering about. To his shock as well, the hedge hog actually brought itself back to her where it was placed back into the basket. Thankfully it didn't waste too much time. However, Flamingos can be a bit more tricky and this was going to be the true test.
He followed where he believed it had gone but then there was a rustling in the bush. He heard it long before anyone showed, his form perking up, ears straight in the air and form high. His whiskers twitched and nose followed, trying to get a feel for what was to come, who was coming in fact. From the sounds he was small and quick. Just as he was about to take voice to greet the person, out swarmed Saydeneech. This was not good, NOT Good at all. This was the Queen's best rat so to speak, if he took notice of you it was a good chance the Queen would hear of you as well and often then not you ended up exactly where you would never want to be.
Ears fell against his head as he moved up to step beside the girl. He was nervous, but who wouldn't be. Only a moment passed before he began to speak and he spoke with a strong voice he often mustered from where he was never sure, but somehow it often got him out of some jam, or someone else. "sent here as a Understudy Sir. Her duty at the moment being to help set up this marvelous game for Our Queen;'s enjoyment. It would be terrible for her to come and find her game not ready. Please, don't let us get in your way." He bowed low to the creature, hoping somehow that he would understand and not say anything terrible to the Queen.

Fixing the rabbit with a stern stare, his sword still poised in front of him, drawn and ready to be put in use, his eyes darted back and forth between the two, caught between believing him and skewering the girl. He ignored her when she introduced herself, although couldn't help but puff out his chest a bit from her well placed compliment and intended title. Clearing his throat he addressed her, vanity seemingly a touchy issue. “Your words are acknowledged, Miss De Luca. Well met.” He muttered almost reluctantly in her direction, before shifting his posture and suspicions upon the rabbit. “An Understudy, you say? Why haven't I seen her around before, then? I've checked with the gathered staff last night, and I for one did not see her.” By now, Saydeneech tipped his sword back into the scabbard, although ts hilt was still partially gripped. If he sniffed anything rotten he'd report it to the Queen, if not for documentary purposes – she could do with the girl as she saw fit. A frown coated his face still, brushing passed the white rabbit as he dipped himself into a bow, his eyes falling forward to land precariously upon the fleeing hedgehogs taking shelter in the hedges. "No, no. You're doing this all wrong." He spoke with a certain smugness, as if addressing the servants. He pulled out his sword once more, a hum as it was released into the air, and swatted the nearest hedgehog with it, making the tiny creature screech in pain as it hobbled back towards the rabbit and slowly advancing girl. "This way, things will go a lot faster - you wouldn't want to make her Majesty impatient!" With those words, he scampered a few paces towards the fleeing hedgehogs with a small 'haHA!'.

WINGS WON'T TAKE MEHEIGHTS DON'T PHASE ME LOTTI-RAHZIEL BOWED to show respect towards the gaurd...thing...squirll...chipmunk thing? Obiously this thing was high ranked since the rabbit seemed to be quiet concerened about what this thing thought about her and what she was doing here.
Speaking of what she was doing, she didn't remember ever falling asleep in such a place. Did she sleepwalk ordid was she dragged here so she could get in trouble with? It just didn't make sense.
Back to reality, in a matter of speaking. "I started my understudy today, sir," she said respectfully. Lieing was easy for her since no feelings could get in the way. Worthless emotions. Its use should really only be minimal, otherwise they'll take youto places or situations you'd rather not be in.
Standing up from her bow, she watched the squirll...thing gather up some of the hedgehogs. And then it talked some more about this and that, but Lotti didn't really care about anything. Maybe she should have left when she could have. Oh well, whay happens is what happens. Truely, she can't control anythingthat will soon to happen. She could just push it her way, at the moment.
"Yes, sir, I do see how much easier and faster it is to do it the right way," she said, her voice unchanging as usual, emotionless. "The White Rabbit and I will try your way. We really shouldn't keep The Queen waiting."she said, not really getting anything at all. She just hoped that the squirll would leave as they cleaned the field so that she could get away.
